I have developed a travel app that provides walking routes in major cities of selected main sights of interest. Currently the app has 60 walking routes across 10 cities in Europe including Paris, Lisbon, Madrid, Budapest and Rome. The app presents the walking tours on a familiar Google maps interface, combining it with a walking trail around the main city sights.
Once the app is downloaded, a user can select the city and then the walk length, being 30, 60 or 120 minutes. Then the trail can be followed taking in, for example, museums, monuments, cathedrals and other points of interest which only locals would know, such as the best local coffee shop, unique piece of architecture or which famous person lived here. There is a back-end content management tools that enables the owner to create more city tours, curate them and add them to the app.
The app is currently free to download and is available in IOS and Android. The app name will be disclosed to people that express an interest.
