The rental market in the UK is worth millions, and rental prices are increasing. The average rent for a property in London is nearly £1500, however there is very little information around for people to use when looking for somewhere to rent e.g. what previous tenants thought of a property, why they left, how well they though the letting agent performed, what previous tenants paid, what are the pitfalls.. This website has been set up to essentially operate like a tripadvisor for the house rental market. It has been designed to create a mechanism that allows tenants more visibility and information around places that they are looking to rent, and to give existing tenants a forum to share their experiences on their current and past rental experiences (both the property and letting agent). The terms and conditions were reviewed by a law firm. About 17k people that have registered to the website, without having any real advertising or promotion. You could also extend the site to the international market (it is currently UK focused). Having had kids and being in a full time job, I just don’t have any time to dedicate to promoting and enhancing the website. I currently have not monetised the site, but it would be very easy to do so. For example advertising to companies who are linked to the property rental market (e.g. removal companies, tenant insurance), you could develop the site to link landlords to potential tenants for a fee etc. I just haven't had the time or motivation to do this. It’s a great idea and a professionally designed site. It needs someone with the time to dedicate to it in order to maximise its potential – I can’t currently do that, so have put it up for sale.
Look at the website. Try it out.
